The Lesbian Hedgehog got mad at me the other day when I called what she considered "her bag" "her purse."

I honestly have  no idea what the difference between a bag and a purse is. Then people started throwing other terms around. So can you educate me about the differences between the following terms are (since I had assumed that anything you could carry tampons, makeup and mace in was a "purse.")
