New Jersey Pride

This New Jersey corruption story couldn't be better if it tried to be.

It involves:

Several mayors

A state assemblyman

Money laundering

Crooked rabbis

Someone trying to deposit a bogus $25 million check at a bank drive through

Illegal organ sales

You've got to love this quote:

"New Jersey's corruption problem is one of the worst, if not the worst, in the nation," said Ed Kahrer, who heads the FBI's white collar and public corruption investigation division. "Corruption is a cancer that is destroying the core values of this state."

Man, oh man. It's fucking beautiful.

A side note: For several years I worked with Michelle Sahn, one of the writers of this story. She's without a doubt the best reporter I've ever met, so I'm positive there's no hype or bullshit in this article. Michelle Sahn always gets the story right.
