Sorry about the lack of posts.  I'm in the processes of moving, and have had to give up my lovely Brighthouse Cable connection for the time being.  There's another computer in my new HQ that has a crappy connection and none of my music.  Hopefully I'll get shit together soon.

Anyway, I earned my Concert Loner/Loser Merit Badge last night, going solo to the Mountain Goats show in Orlando.  Despite a very late start, which left everyone sitting on the floor of Will's Pub like we had smores and a fire, the show kicked ass. The Mountain Goats behaved as if it was the best and most fun show of their whole lives, which I'm sure it wasn't, but it was nice of them, and the crowd was dancing (!) and singing along as if their lives depended on it.  I have never been so wrong in predicting what demographic a band appeals to - the crowd was absolutely shocking to me.  Half tatted-up-heroin-fueled-vampire types, and half 16-year-old-Urban-Outfitters-staff.  I had really expected Mountain Goats fans to be older, and more nerd-chic, like accountants who dress like Rivers Cuomo in there spare time.  I have no clue how the Mountain Goats got to be the band of choice of the 10th grade hipsters, but I was definitely one of only 5 people over 22.  Maybe they think he is Conor Oberst's grandfather, or maybe he's more emo than I realized.

At any rate, highly recommend catching them if you get the chance.   Even if you have to go by yourself.
