well this fucking sucks. i'm supposed to be on a plane to san francisco right now, but instead i am sitting at my computer at home. we successfully got up at 4 am this morning and got in the cab and made it to the airport with an hour and a half to spare. through a series of events too boring to recount, we ended up at the correct check-in desk only 15 minutes before our flight. this was still enough time, barely, as i could see a completely empty security check and our gate from the desk. however, they apparently shut their computers down half an hour before, and no amount of yelling can change that. this is especially lame as people at other airlines on either side of us were checking in super late and having people radio to the gate that they "had a runner". i don't expect anyone to hold an airplane for me, but at least let me try to make it! so they told us we could either wait on standby with "virtually no chance of getting out until tomorrow" or take a flight that gets us there at 6 pm tomorrow. so 6 pm it is. we're missing two days of an already short trip, and the best and only part where other friends are involved. plus if this girl doesn't come through trading mmj tickets and liz can't go pick them up for me, then i miss out on mmj too, and the money i spent on it. laaaaame! so that is my boring venting i had to get out to avoid yelling at sam for making us miss it. so sad. now lets see if i can manage to get some more sleep. i'm oddly hyped up from frustration and getting up after only 4 hours of sleep.
