The 43-year-old, famous for his role as Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and Torchwood, had as his hands full as he stocked up on memorabilia from the club shop. Scottish-born Barrowman was spotted in multi-million pound shopping centre Liverpool ONE with a load of football tops and Reds legend Kenny Dalglish's autobiography.
And the musical performer, who recently appeared in Andrew Lloyd Webber's talent show 'Any Dream Will Do' said he'd do anything to see his team's ownership debacle resolved.
John said: "I'm a Liverpool fan through and through. We gotta sort this problem out as quickly as possible. It kills me to see my team in this mess."
The actor has also appeared on celebrity ice skating show Dancing on Ice and was snapped with mum Marion and dad, John Sr, who emigrated to America when he was nine-years-old.
A fellow shopper said: "I can't believe it's Patrick Logan from Desperate Housewives just casually walking round. He is such a handsome man. I wish I could have spoken to him."
