John Barrowman: A Musical Christmas

Dec 18, 2006 23:20

Oh my. I'm just back from JB's christmas concert and I'm really buzzing too much to be very coherent.

You *have* to listen to this concert - either on the radio or the web or the listen again bit if you can't get it 'live'. John was completely amazing with a full concert orchestra and choir behind him. I'm astonished at how much he sang - 17 numbers if I'm counting right. And a lot of them were show tunes. He started off the 2ns act with 'Anything goes', 'Moon river' and 'I am what I am' which was pure heaven for me. and he was in superb voice. and it's *his* show - he does all the links between the songs.

And then to end it ll we got a proper regimental pipe band. men in kilts - what else do you need at Christmas.

so, like I said, liisten to this show - you won't be disappointed. I'm off to bed now, to dream and drool about actually seeing him do it. he is such a great performer - he gives every last bit of him to the every song.

Awesome'awesome guy.
*happy sighs*
