singing in your machine...

So I found out a guy I used to talk to online a lot a year or so ago died. It was like he just dropped off the face of the earth. It's weird even though I never met him. He was a good online friend. He made me this sweatshirt with all these patches on it. It was super cool. And he did make me a mix cd once. I dunno... I was just thinking about it even though I haven't spoke to him in over a year... it's just shocking. you know... We would talk about meeting up one day and stuff. No one knows how he died or anything ,but wow. He was only 26. Weird to know we will never chat again.

Kind of reminds me of this quote from a book I read recently.

"The reason death sticks so closely to life isn't biological necessity - it's envy. Life is so beautiful that death has fallen in love with it, a jealous, possessive love that grabs at what it can. But life leaps over oblivion lightly, losing only a thing or two of no importance, and gloom is but the passing shadow of a cloud."

It's only after someone is gone, that you begin to think and then think about your own life.
