I got a Wacom tablet for my birthday and am now trying to re-learn how to draw and use PhotoShop. Having used a trackball to draw with for years I am having to retrain my hands and eyes to new skills and shortcuts. It's harder than I thought it would be.
Ashwinder sent me back my new chapter for changes to be made. As much as I appreciate the need to edit, etc, I am finding that some of my pleasure in writing is being drained by this. Worrying, while I am in the throes of creativity, whether or not my comma will be correct by their reckoning (since my Strunck and White's doesn't always agree with theirs) or will be rejected has been making me slower to write and less interested in getting the next chapter out.
I know that there are a lot of folks that don't like to go to AFF.net these days, what with all the confusion there, but at least I can get my chapter up without concern and my readers don't suffer any additional delays.
WIKTT is setting up their new archives and I am seriously thinking about just posting there and at AFF. Do any of you have any particular favorite sites that you think I should try to post at?
I am open to suggestions.
I am not trying to rag on Ashwinder here, by the way. They are trying to raise the level of quality and I understand that. The problem is that I get maybe an hour a day in which to write anything at all. My choice now becomes do I A) spend that hour editing things for just one site or do I B) spend that hour writing new things for myself and my readers.
I think you can all see my dilemma.
