Soooooo pissed off right now.
We just had a lecturer become the EPITOME of why we don't like to do things last minute. Five minutes before he's supposed to go on, he gives us the double whammy of power point AND video - had he come earlier, it wouldn't have even be a wha, - or a w - but we didn't have time to test his video and sure enough it didn't play.
Sure enough we were scrambling.
Sure enough, as the cruise director went back on stage to stall, the sound guy didn't mute the video we were testing and we nearly made the CD crap his pants (I'm okay with that).
It made us look incompetent. It made us look like ass. I don't care about looking good - I just don't want to look bad.
The silver lining of this is that it proves our point, no matter how hard we tried for it to be seamless. He'll never do this again and hopefully it'll set a renewed precedent.
