In between shows right now (a surprisingly enjoyable instumentalist who plays the tinwhistle and flute) and I have to say I'm stunned at how well it went, given the fact that I didn't have time to finish cueing the final number - Lord of the Dance. Sure, there were a few typos because I had to jump around and I found myself adjusting time counts just before and then after the fact, but all and all it came out pretty good.
It's amazing what two spot lights, a few gobos, and a small city full of haze and fog can do.
I'm kinda in that wistful mood when despite all of my negative outlooks on life and people, where I kinda wish I had someone that I could talk about the show to, or someone that the show would make proud.
"How did the show go?" she would ask.
"Suprisingly well - I wish you could have seen it." I would tell her.
"I wish I could have too," she would say. "Were you able to make 'Over the Rainbow' different than you did for the show two nights ago?"
"Gobos to look like fence posts and blue cyc lights on the austrian bunting at the beginning."
A few words into the sentence, there'd be that preparatory intake of air for the recognition and then "Just like she's singing outside before the storm hits - not bad."
"I have my moments."

Next segment, we go to Samoa (cookies?), Fiji (newtons? cookies?), and end up in New Zealand (kiwi?) that annoying day before Valentines Day.
Cookies, newtons, and kiwis - I think I need to eat something.
