Leasing Barns
Last week, my barn owner sent a letter out to all of our boarders letting us know that on June 1st she's going to be taking a break from the barn. Rebecca (another boarder) would be leasing the barn from Donna (the BO). Donna told me that her husband, Joe had wanted her to ask me first but Donna didn't think that I would be interested. She then asked me if I would be interested in leasing the barn from her if things with Rebecca fell through. As much as I love Donna and wanted things to work out, I wished, hoped and prayed that things would fall through with Rebecca because I really wanted this opportunity.
Well... Donna called me this morning and asked me if I was seriously interested! Her and Joe are working on the contracts and stuff today, changing everything from Rebecca's name to mine. We're meeting at 2 PM tomorrow afternoon to discuss the contract and go over things.
So - Anyone have any advice or anything? Links to helpful websites, important things to think about when discussing the contracts and such?
