Getting on with Life

May 26, 2006 10:45

We started cleaning out the back bedroom. It will now go back to being my office and hopefully stay that way. Paul ripped out the carpet and I have been ripping out the tile that was under the carpet. It has come up pretty easy. We are going to put down the wood flooring like we have in the living room and hall. It is such a relief to have my house back to normal.
Today I went and bought the parts for the air conditioner. Now as bad as I feared. Took my neighbor with me and he got a pretty good discount though his company. Cost me just under $60. Milford and John are going to install the parts and get us going back on AC. Currently we are using a window unit. Still that is better than nothing and keeps the front room cool. Bedroom stays a little warmer. I am suppose to fix dinner for them for their help. No big deal, only not using the oven that is for sure.
Paul went to take some stuff to his mother last night. I know she hates animals, her room mate (yes, she has to share a room) has a big, big german sheppard dog. It took up half of her room mates bed. She no only does she now have to share a room she has a big dog to share it with. I am sure she is not a happy camper. Oh well, sucks to be her.
Watched the reds yesterday from 8:00 a.m. until about 8:30 p.m. Was a long day. Only had 2 of them until about 5, then had all 3 of them. Really they were pretty good. Considering it was the reds, they were excellent.
More to come:
