I've been trying to find anything by SaOG for a while; the 20th Century Masters series released ten of their tracks, but 'Suzanne' isn't one of them, so now I'm intrigued.
"I'd Like To Get To Know You" is a rare gem as it should have crossed a few boundaries with it's non-genre construction. A tad too esoteric to fit in the 'We'll Sing In The Sunshine' M.O.R. mode (read Too Young), but too dreamy too be taken as jazz by the then fit of that genre, though I'd characterize it as such.
SaOG have always struck me as The Mamas And The Papas "Through The Looking Glass" doppelgangers, that is had the era that spawned them been an more gentle (and somewhat naive) time than it actually was, this would have been closer to what TMaTP's would have sounded like.
Thanks for indulging me; I've wanted to put this interpretation of them as a genre down in semi-permanent form for quite a while now.
