I might have passed the lab practical. Admittedly, fossil and skull identification are not my strong points, but I appear to have nailed roughly everything else.
Evidently, my lab professor loved my paper comparing sexual behavior in bonobos, chimps, and humans, and told me to consider taking on a volunteer opportunity she e-mailed the class about a few weeks ago. Her colleague has a metric asston of videos of primates, and needs students to help her watch/take notes on the their behavior/communication.
That was super, super flattering - the little recognition is nice, especially for a class that otherwise has beat my brain into tiny, pulpy pieces. No matter the outcome of the class, it's pretty awesome that I might just be able to put "primatology research assistant" on my resume.
