Tragedy...
...Why are some people so ignorant. This was posted on CNN.com in response to the tragedy at Virginia Tech. There are 32 dead and 29 injured in hospital according to the Associated Press.
"Concealing firearms is not a science, this has been shown numerous times. Besides the mass chaos that one would bring upon everyone probably would have no problem blending in with everyone else.
This is a terrible event, but as stated above, it can happen anytime, anywhere.
For me, all the more reason to support concealed weapons laws. I'm not saying that is the complete answer, however I still feel better knowing that I'm prepared for the 'unknown'
To all the victims and family of victims of VT, I can safely say, America's heart is with you."
Yes...that's precisely what we need! Legislation for everyone to carry around concealed weapons! That's precisely the ticket! Let everyone do it!
Does logic and common sense fail some of these people?
Would you not be worried travelling/living in a country where anyone, at any time, could be carrying a concealed weapon, and it actually be legal?
Why is the American solution always more violence and firepower? You're the effing superpower of the world. Set a frickin' example. Create some stricter gun control legislation and crack down on this. Maybe tragedies like this won't occur as ofter as they do. This is not to say that gun control solves everything, but those extra steps required to obtain a fire arm may slow/stop some criminals, whether those weapons are obtained legally or not.
