I think we're going to go with option #3, right now...then, if, God forbid, it doesn't work, I can still go with option 1 and/or 2. I'm considered a candidate until I'm 65. They've only been doing this kind of transplant for less than 18 years, I believe, so there is really not enough hard data for survival rate - long term, for me to really want to go that route. Personally, I'm planning on sticking around for many, many years yet.
Oh, and a 2nd opinion is still an option - this would be a 3rd opinion though...as the Emory specialist is the 2nd opinion, already.
