Filter Dodging
Manny took stock of her ingredients. No stale bread, French Toast was out. She was one egg short of her go-to waffle recipe, which, upon closer inspection, couldn't be done because she was out of butter. And, seeing how she was out of cream as well, she was in no position to make some. That knocked Brunch out of the running. She had enough milk for a bowl of cereal, but that would mean no "iced coffee" until she made a grocery run. She had a nice bag of frozen veggies, left-over rice, and enough eggs for fried rice. Alternatively, she could fix up a plate of cold-cuts and cheese. Lunch it is. And the weather was cool enough that she felt like cooking, so she measured out a portion of veggies and set about frying them.
