Another day
Manny considers her options. "If I wake up," she says to herself, "I'll be able to go to the bathroom, shower, and eventually eat. But, and this is a major downside, I'll also be awake." A small part of her argues that she's already awake and no amount of keeping her eyes closed and staying under the blankets is going to change that. Manny wonder what part of her brain she'd have to cut out to remove that voice. "I'm asleep if I say I am, damnit." She eventually forces her eyes open, gets out of bed, and finds her way to the bathroom.
