She's amazing, Alba. Bright and perceptive, self reliant...there's no doubt in my mind she would have had no trouble surviving on The Frontier, and yet never have I been more glad that someone would never have to know the horrors of that place. While I've kept the truth from her for now, she almost gives me hope that when (there is no 'if' with Alba DeTamble) it comes out, she will not be too afraid...perhaps even accepting. I only wish I could tell her in blunt honesty how much I understand her desire to return home...how much I still mourn my failed mission.
I've seen that others are planning celebrations for Halloween later this month, but I was curious as to if this town did anything similar to 'Trick-or-Treating' and when that might occur? I have a young charge who would most likely want to participate. Would it occur after dark?

My dear Mrs Cullen, please forgive my lapse in communication but I've been rather preoccupied. I've decided to take on a charge while here, a bright young lady by the name of Alba DeTamble. I've been spending most of my nights learning how to cook and helping her with her homework whenever she needs it, which apart from arithmetic isn't often. I as also curious...having you been keeping an eye on the forums? There seems to be another...less discrete...of our kind here in town. Although I wouldn't ask you otherwise, has your gift shown you anything about them, or given you any hints? If Alba is in danger, I must know.
