(no subject)
havent been doing anything too special.
I plan on working on my room soon. taking out the carpet , taking the wallpaper down, and painting the walls and what not. hopefully i will start working on it this weekend.
tonight I am performing in a community band. Havent been to the last 4 rehearsals because of marching bands. and i havent really practiced that much. hopefully i'll have the chops to play everything, since im 1/2 of the section. the other euph player is an older guy. nice guy. and all the music we are playing, the Euphoniums play almost all the time. no long rests. Some good melody lines in the Euphoniums too. lots of 16th notes. and then ending with stars and stripes. i love in this arrangement at the beginning, I start playing the bass line for 4 beats, and jump right into the melody for the next 4 beats, then right back into thebass line for another 4 beats, and jumping back to the melody. then for the rest of the piece we have the melody.
but yeah. fun times, whatever.

also trying to figure out my schedule so i can make monday night rehearsals. and I dont know if randy wants me to work with his marching band or not. and trying to play with the Oakland Symphonic Band and/or their tuba/euphonium ensemble
