Nothing particularly new or groundbreaking here, but it's still some nice publicity.

'MOTHER'LY LOVE
SPARKS ARE FLYING FOR ANTI-RELATIONSHIP PAIR BARNEY AND ROBIN

Thanks for the article link! It's a nice synopsis of the situation Barney and Robin find themselves in.

I'm confident that the writers won't jump the shark on this important issue, but I have to admit, I really wonder how they will pull off the ultimate BrOTP without making either character stray too much away from their values and beliefs. I'm sitting here on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, waiting for how it will play out.

I really, truly, hope that end up in some sort of weird BarneyandRobin non-relationship. Where they both claim to be just casual or even deny they're together, but they totally, totally are. I think it'll be great, because it'll be a foil for MarshallandLily.

I think it's a generally good description of the 'ship, except for this line:
This isn't the Barney fans have known and loved for four years.

Yes, yes it is. Even though he's in love, he hasn't changed enough to warrant that sentence.

I totally agree. Barney's almost become hyper-barney if anything! He's got MORE manic since he's found "feelings" for Robin. Some of the stunts he pulls are super crazy.

Three Days of Snow/Possimpible was *classic* Barney.

Yeah, exactly. And we know that from Barney's past he *was* all romantic and silly, so he's trying to balance the two personalities.

I think Barney's a Gemini. He's so torn between his two personalities that he doesn't know if he's coming or going, hahaha. I think it's awesome how they're playing him, I just hope it ends just we well. :)

Just to fan!wank for a minute - this is interestiing. Because if Ted's born 25 April, Marshall on 1st May, and Barney 22 May-ish (because he's SO on the cusp of Taurus it's untrue) then they all have birthdays very close together.

I'll stop now before I scare people. ;-)

I keep wondering how they are going to pull off having Barney and Robin get together without giving up Barney's womanizer side.
Look at his brother. He is still totally badass, and about to get married.
The writers have been building it up so much, I don't see how they CAN'T put the two together.

I'd love to see them together but not really "together", and they're all kinky and go to swingers parties, and play wingman/woman for each other on the weekends. ;)

It would totally mess with Marshmallow & Lilypad's ideas of love and relationships, but it would work for them.

We need Barney's bro to come back and talk some sense into him, and give him some pointers.

I can definitely see them having an open relationship. The sort of thing where they have sex with others, but on a sunday morning, they still snuggle in bed with the paper and pad around the apartment in slippers.
I'm convinced James Bond and Moneypenny have the same relationship.
