I hope they do have a baby! It annoys me how they've never addressed Barney and Robin's collective fate, they refer to them as individual characters

I always assume that their collective fate is a given as I find it very unlikely they'd remain good friends and tell stories together, as it has been implied by Future!Ted, should a divorce happen.

I hope that's what they mean by the fates were a surprise. I would love it if B/R do end up having a baby and FT just forgot or something since they don't see each other a lot.

Honestly, just when I get to a place of not being worried something new comes out that makes me worry again!

But JR saying Barney's endgame surprised him the most really means nothing because he could simply mean, like Neil said at Paleyfest, that at the beginning of the series he never expected Barney to change and grow and end up married.

As for Robin, AH found her ending surprising but not really a surprise because it's been touched upon in the past? That's intriguing (not sure if in a good or bad way!). It could be a reference to Robin's infertility if they really do end up with a child. Or it could simply be that they do take to traveling all over the world. Or it could be the brief reference Future Ted made about Robin eventually becoming a business woman.

But what part of Ted's endgame could be surprising? I don't like any of this interview actually....

I honestly don't know if I can face the finale. I feel like I'd rather never know and fantasise my own ending rather that see what happens when it's all final.
