a quincenera and time with my mexican family
so yesterday i went with herv adn his family to his cousins' quincenera. it was beautiful!!!! i absolutely LOVE latin culture!! got to practice my spanish a lil bit...i still need a LOT of help!! lol. but i had tons of fun. i love beign around his family. it's sooo different from mine. they love begin around each other and everyone danced, talked, played..everything. everyone is happy beign in each other's presence, vs. my family when a family "get together" is considered eating together, a few words exchanged, adn then watching w/e sport is on tv. everyone is so welcoming too. i got to meet more of the family....they officially consider me part of it now that i've been around for so long lol. for their present, herv and i got them tiaras. they were soooooo gorgeous!! i must say i have pretty good taste! lol, j/k.
afterwards, herv, some of his cousins, and i went to boulevard....since i'm not old enough to get into ip, and hartley or dj crazy ivan wasn't workin taht night to get me in there. its' soooooo much bigger and different than atlantis.....that's all i ahve to say about that.
things ahve been goin pretty well lately. just school, work, horses, and hervyn......the usual. it's amazing at how everything works out in the end. like this quote i read, "in the end, everything always turns out ok. and if it's not ok, then it's not the end." i can't stress how true that is.
