(Hi just added you after seeing you on ljspotlight... I've only recently plunged into the NYC bar scene under the horribly (delightfully) bad influence of a friend... and what's scaring me right now is that I'm an intern (who will likely be offered an editorial assistant's position next spring) at a publishing house right now! I caught your LJ from the Live Journal Spotlight folks. I think it's great that you took a chance. I just did the same thing a year ago, going back to school for the first time in 7 years to change my life around. I'd been working in offices for 7 years and hated every second of it. It meant leaving NYC for a few years but I'm only two years away from going back and doing something I know I'll love. So congrats to you!
