I'm a bad LJ-friend! I never update anymore, and I rarely comment on other people's posts... but i DO read. I still login and read to see what's new with everyone. But updating for me has become a little... meh... life is moving far too quickly to update as often as I should, and when I do sit down the news or thoughts are already expired or it's just every day boring stuff which isn't really interesting to other people to read.

Anywho, coming to this time of year, I figured it's time to say stuff!

I've been crazy busy building and planning our trip to New Zealand. NEXT WEEK! omg yay finally. December has flown by SO fast. We fly out on Boxing Day in Auckland and fly back home via Queenstown 2 weeks later. I'm very excited... it's going to be a roadtrip of sorts with lots of stops along the way (not enough, why can't we have 4 weeks!?) and visiting alot of Pete's family in different cities too. Wooo so much to see :D
FYI this is the longest ever time we've spent together. Oooh-ahhh. I think the max was 5 days/4 nights once upon a time. A little over two weeks together including Christmas? I'm totally chuffed! I'm almost more excited about the first experience together - going to the airport and and getting on the flight TOGETHER! We've NEVER been able to do that. It's always happy hellos and sad goodbyes at airports! This is totally new. It's going to feel exciting and strange haha.

I just booked this really cool 5 hour adventure thing on our drive day between Auckland and Rotorua. It's abseiling, flying foxing, tube rafting, caving and checking out glow worms! Love the sound of that! I've been going crazy booking everything this last week, but it's honestly for my own sanity. I need to know where I'm sleeping every night so I don't stress out wandering around a city I've never been do looking for a bed. So now that my control side has been looked after, I can enjoy the rest of the trip with my awesome boyfriend and have a TONNE of fun.

Speaking of which, Pete and I are going stronger than ever. Last week he got flown down by work to the headoffice here in Sydney, not far from where I live, for an employee awards night. He was nominated and a finalist for an award... and WON! I joked he better get a trophy and a sash and some flowers (and prepare a speech, thanking everyone hehe Mr America) ... but he DID get a trophy! And a fat cheque! Awwww I'm sooo proud of him. Just as well, he was threatened with having to sleep on the couch if he didn't win - I just don't date losers.

I was introduced to all his big bosses. And of course there was alot of talks about how we do long distance, but he proudly stated I'm moving up next year - it was really lovely. Things are coming up Milhouse :)

Christmas next week! I love Christmas, but it doesn't almost feel like it yet... kind of missing alot of the city decorations getting everyone into the mood.. is it just me or is there less of that going on this year?

Well I"m holding up my end of the bargain. I don't lack spirit!
