(no subject)
I'm knackered from Spin today. All of us "lunchtime spinners" are arranging our own Xmas Party cuz we're all getting more social with eachother - it's a great group of people - in the next few weeks. I'm looking forward to it! I also found out today one of the other women there has something like 5 kids (?! you wouldn't know!) and 3 girls, all attending PLC. I was amazed! I went to PLC from Kindergarten all the way to Year 12... one of only 5 girls doing the long haul. I got a bit of new gossip, like the Principal Dr McKeith is finally retiring (he started a year after I enrolled, so he's been there a LONG time). He was great for the school, really productive and really made the school grow - I just hope they find someone to fill his shoes!
I also heard they are building a new LIBRARY?? omg.. i was in Year 4 when they built the last one - which was a HUGE deal at the time. We totally got to walk around the construction site (I remember wearing a hardhat hehe) and it was just when those colourful Apple computers came out and we got 20, or something. It really was a huge thing. They are going to replace that library with a bigger one - 4 stories high! whoah, i can't even imagine. Since I've left (this is back in 1999) they've built an Art house, a performance theatre and FINALLY have replaced the pool! That was a nightmare - it was also officially "the oldest school pool in Sydney" - yeah, can you imagine? Totally gross, I remember everyone always trying to pull sickies whenever swim class was on... also, it was only 25 yards. Yes. YARDS. We measure in METRES now!! That's how old it was... I hear it's a nice big indoor type of pool now and there's even some Olympic instructor person now? Hm! Cool.
Anyway, that was all kinda cool to hear. It's also my 10 year reunion this year - but we're having it in February.... if I even go.... *shrugs*
