(no subject)
Skye has started training/work for Telstra... so I've got my home back during the day. It's fabulous - I had forgotten what it was like because she's been unemployed for about 3 months now... longer unemployed than employed in the time she's lived here with me. Hah. We'll see if she sticks it out, I don't know if it's really the best job out there... there's alot to learn, and while going through the brochure about mobile phones and blackberries and junk, she asks me "What's Data??" ... oh dear..
Anyway, Spin today was good. Kristy is the instructor that takes the Monday and Wednesday classes that I go to at lunchtime. It usually has the same bunch of people that attend, today was a little quiet, only 7 of us... but it's all familiar faces... today she told us we are all the fittest out of all the classes she takes, she loves it, cuz she pushes us harder and we totally take it. Yay for me, I'm "fit" haha.. nah, i feel good.. I can totally see my muscle definition coming back in my calves, quads and hammies... I need it, it really looks better. Felt good though to be classified as one of the better ones that take Spin class :) I've been getting alot of feedback from my instructors lately saying that I am doing a great job and it's obvious I push myself. It's good for me to hear!
Need to do some stretches, my quads are all tightening up right now! Lactic acid, grrr...
I'm hoping to put up some more beanies tomorrow on the webstore. It's been shockingly slow lately, I am just sooo behind in my work. I haven't had any new fans in a loooong time on the fanpage so I think I need to get up on top of that soon. I did have another email from some guy interested in wholesaling for my products, but he wanted a high production and I had to explain at this point in time I'm so small, i'm a one-person business, and I can't work any faster than I am at the moment! And that custom orders are keeping me pretty busy right now. I didn't discount the fact that i definitely want to get bigger, one day, I just have no idea how to or when I would... but it's nice to hear there's interest in it. He made a point that he's really excited to see Australians out there handmaking things instead of everything being of mediocre quality being shipped in from Asia - he has a point, and that's exactly why I'm proud that what I make is handmade AND Australian made. Ahh you never know. I need to pimp out some more business cards around the place and perhaps approach some surf shop retailers. It's Winter and I'm really behind!
I'm really missing Winter today. I am dying to go snowboarding. I nearly impulsively purchased a whole clothing package on eBay today cuz it looked so hot (and was relatively good value), but passed it in... I dunno what I'm doing... I'm looking into flights to Melbourne midweek for some kind of trip but I don't even know if I can afford that. I miss the guys, I miss the snow, I am whiney :P I"ll figure something.. eventually.. heh..
