My home
Just a couple of pics from my place from the other night, it's almost complete!
I even went to Ikea again today... got some more cushions... the purple thing hanging on the wall behind the lamp is now overlayed with a white/sheer blossom fabric motif... candles and tiny vases for the bookcase, and some magazine holders which are completely empty haha but it fills space ;P
I really need 3 things:
- Government First Home Owner's Grant to come through soon!
- A second job. I'm currently doing only 25 hours... and that just covers my mortgage repayments only!
- A housemate. I put the advert in at the end of last week... not many matches, I like the sound of one girl but she hasn't replied to me yet. Another girl has written me email already and really seems to like the sound of my place already... but she's 22... *cringes a little*... it doesn't hurt to have an interview, I suppose?
I'm cleaning my place up today. Mopped the kitchen, laundry, etc... Mum's coming over tomorrow to help me demolish all the boxes and styrofoam from the last few huge purchases which have been hidden away in the 2nd bedroom.. She hasn't seen my place really since I moved in (I have been holding off until I get my outdoor setting and invite everyone around for dinner - but Freedom are screwing me about!!) so.. instead of drawing it out any longer, it'll be work and lunch together instead! I am looking forward to seeing what Mum has to say about my place.. hehe

Yesterday, and on another occasion, when I went down to the pool in just my bathers and a towel around me it really still felt like I am staying at some holiday apartment. I think the summer weather is definitely helping that feeling along haha but also with everything being new and ... a pool! .. I feel like I live in a resort most of the time. I love it!
Better get on top of the money situation so I can keep paying for it.. hahah.. urgh..
