Hi! I'm everywhere! Here now too! I heard on the radio yesterday that the ski season was extended to Oct due to good falls. I hope that buys you more time. If I had something that I love to do it would really piss me off that it was restricted to only a few months of the year.
I heard that rumour from a friend of mine too that they were thinking of extending it. I've yet to find written evidence of it yet, but holy moly that would make me very happy!!
Additionally, I think they should start the season later, like they do in NZ, because for at least 2 or 3 weeks in June we have no snow!! Even if NZ get snowfalls, they don't open til later in June - which I think is great, cuz then people dont' track out and ruin the base trying to be built.
I think it only was decided this week. The news bulletin on Buller's website is dated only 2 days ago. It's basically pretty unheard of here in Australia to extend a ski season. Not too shabby!
