Plans
Yesterday was first day they could use the groomers up at Buller. Now, today the Summit is open for the first time this season.... so that means lift ticket prices shoot from a reasonable $47/day, straight up to full price at $97/day. Geez. For a quarter of the mountain they sure know how to milk it.
Looks like I'm heading up next weekend though for a night. Ski Sat & Sunday :) Apparently there might be a big dump coming next week sometime - there is a cold front on the way. Woo.... kinda.... I wish there was more. Can you believe I'm going to New Zealand in 3 weeks?? Arhh!! :D
I'm probably going with another one of Keith's friends I met last year (he is/was having an ongoing fling with her) but she's friends with Claire who works now up at the Hoohar. So that's nice everyone all ties in together. We got in touch on facebook finally and have been making plans. We even cross dates by ONE DAY in New Zealand, so we're going to party :) hehe it's cool.
I'll try not to blow too much cash when I go up to Buller next week... Money is on the mind this week because apparently we're finally getting nagged to pay for Bond on the house (Matilda & myself that is)... which I am personally reluctant to do now, several months into being there, mostly because I know I'll be moving out in only a few more months up to Sydney. I'm sure getting my bond back will be a pain in the ass when I cross that bridge... but meh... doesn't matter... i have to do it...
Oh, and Jayne moved out this week! No more being woken up by sex noises at 3:30am in the morning anymore! No more banging doors. No more 1000 dirty dishes! No more wet bathrooms full of junk!!! Woo.... Oddly, she had been clearly ignoring me over the last 2 weeks, no idea why though. Borderline rude even if I didn't know any better... I guess it doesnt' matter now that she's moved out... it just bothered me at the time.
Iain's moving into her old room now. Upgrade from the room where the wardrobe is almost bigger than his actual bedding space (a la Bender's apartment in Futurama)
And, Kate's boyfriend - from Perth - is moving in at the end of the month. That's really cool.. it's nice to see them together.. I totally understand the long-distance pang! :P Of course, they are really really serious, full on. It's great though!
It'll help us out keeping rent down too with him staying here. All good.
I just get tipsy-texted at 11pm instead from a certain mister up in QLD. haha aw. Silly funny boy. Yeah, I have to work out a free weekend where I can head up there again.. rahh.. busy month with finding time to go skiing, see him, and go to NZ!! Ahh! All things I'm passionate about though hehe so it's all worth it.
I'm at work ALL WEEKEND. Boring.
