Wake up call
It's been quite a big weekend for the boys up in QLD. Parties and weddings and such... I got a 4:30am wake up text this morning, which I ended up replying to because I could... but that meant I promptly got a reply phone call. That lasted for an hour: all the way from the taxi, to the random labradors in the street, to the house, to the kitchen, to Dave sending me a photo text in his undies and a hat, and to Pete finally going to bed. Since I had to be up at 6am anyway, I got him to chat for a little longer until I had to go to work...
Daylight savings time has ended here so we're finally in the same timezone now. That's much better.

Yesterday was a looooong day. Felt like two days in one. I had the whole day off and didn't really get up to much. Been watching the final season of Buffy on disc that I borrowed from Kim heh.. slothed around a bit, did some laundry...
Later in the afternoon I got chatting to my mate Darren in Canada and ended up having a 3 hour webcam/phone chat! It was awesome! I literally haven't seen him in years, and it was really good to finally hear and chat with him. He's been nagging me for months and months to get a cam so we can talk... and when i had my eBay rush last week I impulsively bought a cheapie from hong kong to finally shut him up! heh. So, we enjoyed a couple beers yesterday together haha even a "cheers" to the cam :P Good times. He is my back-up husband afterall haha yeah.. i'll have to go visit next time i'm in the country.
After a couple beers and too much Red Rooster I slept for a couple hours, but got woken up around 8:30pm because the footy was on telly and my housemate's boyfriend was yelling at the tv urghhhh... so i got up... figured I couuld fluff around for a while due to my late nap. Weird I fell asleep so early.
I ended up dying my hair out of boredom. Just back to the dark brown I'd been trying to grow out, but i was tired of the two tones so I just fixed it up.
When I did get finally get up this morning after sending Pete off to bed on the phone, I realised someone was in the kitchen. Iain was back! He'd been away for the last 3 weeks in Thailand! He was hunting around for a screwdriver because his bedroom door had somehow jammed or locked itself shut while he'd been away so he was trying to take apart the door handle to just get in and get to bed. Poor thing.
Strangely, Jayne was also awake... getting ready for work too... busy house for a Sunday morning.
So it's been a good weekend so far... and tonight I'm going to catch up with Kim for pre-birthday drinks and some good/bad reality tv :) Yay!
Oh and i bought some heels and boots from Target on Friday... boots were only $30!! and they're hot!! :P
