New House~!
Oooh lots of stuff..
Unfortunately I haven't got my internet up and running yet on my laptop in my new place so I'm writing to you from work (typical, eh?) They dont' have a wireless router, but I do.. so when I see the other girl that lives there sometime this week, I'll offer it for common use. Cuz I have no idea how to set it up..
My room is pretty. Yep really! I really like it... everything fits really well, and I actually have room to move around! It's surprising cuz I didn't think the room was that big when I first inspected it. Yeah, I like it here... the house is big and very warm & welcoming. It's got a very homely kitchen, with front & back yards.. and the bathrooms have been newly renovated. Nobody was home this morning so I cleaned all the shower glass and mirrors because it looked like they hadn't been done in a while. Mmm sparkly! heheh
It's got a huge loungeroom but it's obvious it's renters that live here cuz there's a tonne of space and only three little couches attempting to use up space. I could literally do a cartwheel or two across the space heh
My first night I slept alright, except I've discovered my door doesn't actually click shut... and the wind picked up this morning and was coming through the house swinging my door open at 7am which totally startled me. Not to mention it is incredibly creaky!! So with every slight move of the door.. ERRGG CRREEEAAAK ERRUUHHH!! i ended up jamming one of my shoes under the door to keep it shut so I could bloody sleep. The other girl there that lives there has some WD40 though, and has promised to take care of it for me, yay.
I finally got my tv to work today too because there is ZERO aerial reception in this house. I thought it was just my broken bunny-ears antennae that I've been accustomed to using.. but then Kim lent me some of hers, and nothing again! So I went out and bought a loooong cable because I found a tv aerial plug in the wall - on the other side of the room nonetheless - and bam! it works! :) I also bought a big mirror which I've propped up against the wall, and hung all my little photo frames up on the wall today too. Feeling very much like my own space again.
It's also 37C today. BAHH!!! Damn heat.
