Flights!
I bought my flights for next February! Tiger Airways now fly direct from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Gold Coast airport!! And - for super cheap. I got flights about $70 each way. wow!
I"m really looking forward to spending time up there... I will (hopefully) stay with Jodie up there at her place cuz there's not enough room in the 2 b/r apartment that Mum & Dad have.. what with Gary & Asa, and little Hannah running around as well. I can't wait to SEE Hanna in person... she's the little one I made beanies for last year :) I "met" her at the first UltraSound Asa had for her when I was in Sweden in 2004!!! Isn't that just crazy? She's adorable..
And, to spend 5 FULL DAYS away from everything will be great. I dunno how it'll go down with work but I guess we'll figure it out. I'm flying out at 7am on a Sunday and flying back at 11pm on the Thurs, so it really is makign the most of my time away... I have no idea when I'll see them again so I really want to spend as much time as possible with them. They'll be in Aussie for 6 weeks, but mostly spending it in Sydney with Mum & Dad and travelling around...

I've been desperately trying to find flights to Ballina/Byron to go visit Bart. Nothing works properly... the days I initially wanted to go, Alison at work requested those days off - d'oh! So I could go the following week but the prices are higher...
And only JetStar fly direct from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Ballina/Byron, and they're much cheaper anyway regardless... Grrr.. and I can get flights on other dates, but, it wouldn't be ideal because, well, I'm a woman (if you know what I mean) and well... I'm not flying all the way up there and spend the whole time sitting around talking :P
So... I'm just trawling the website every couple days to see if I can work something out... and I have to make it work with shifts at work too, urgh. Ideally flights going up on a Thursday and coming back on a Saturday night would be great. It's easier to swap the days and I'd like to have a Friday night "out" up there. Then before I even buy flights, I'll have to check with him to make sure he has the days off - but it seems he gets alot of days off with this job now anyway... Lazy cops :)
