People are jerks.
I got cut off TWICE on the way to work today. The first one wasn't so bad, I just let it go..
The second one, merely a minute later, was something else. I changed lanes on the freeway and was about to overtake the van.. a CityLink van no less! (they operate the freeways and tolls on these roads, if you didn't know) ... so I'm about to overtake and I could suddenly see out of the corner of my eye him coming closer to me. Then I see his indicator... I am forced to slam on my brakes and pull back cuz he merges right on me. I don't even have time to think about blaring the carhorn at him I'm just shocked he didn't even look before he merged.
So then we happen to be going the same way with the next exit, and I'm just following him by default. Eventually I happen to be beside him at the traffic lights and I look at him and shake my head - enough so he can see.
To my surprise, I hear a loudspeaker come on and it's him! In this van, talking to me! Ohhh!!
"Don't shake your head at me... there's no need to get Argy Bargy..." ... I turn around, excuse me?? Just because you have a speaker on your van does not give you the right to talk to me. I look at him and say through my window - YOU CUT ME OFF! The speaker comes on again.. he says "I don't see what the rush is" - implying that I was trying to get past him too fast. Uhhh I reply "I WASN'T SPEEDING?? I WASN'T SPEEDING." .. cheeky bloody bastard.. he ends up turning off at the next street, but URGH! that got me so fired up.
It's obvious he doesn't think he was doing anything wrong, particularly since he's some big guy, in a big van, on "his" freeway. Yeah right! It's obvious he did NOT check to see me there in the lane before he tried to merge... if I hadn't've seen him, the nose on my car would be completely gone. Jerkface.
