TV "FastTrack" stuff
Finally, Australian TV networks have decided to begin "day and date" new TV shows and series from the USA to Australia. Even though they still might be 2-10 days behind the actual USA airing, it's better than waiting the usual 6+ months for something like Heroes, Lost, and Survivor. Some of my very favourite shows.
This still leaves me asking: Why did this take so long in the first place? Channel 7 are calling it "Fast Track".. whatever you call it, I say you're trying to divert the rest of us from illegal downloads even if you deny it. Although it might actually wor because someone like me will probably watch it as it airs. However, I may still get downloads from a friend though, just so I can watch it sans-advertisements. I'll play with that as a case-by-case basis.
And, like So You Think You Can Dance - without the heavy editing hand Channel 10 seems to enjoy - they missed an ENTIRE dance last week. How can they do that? Yes, we noticed.

Australian Idol is annoying me. So much so I can't even begin ranting about it because all I can say it's probably the worst selection of Top 12s we've ever seen overall. I say 'overall' because there are the 2 (or 3?) that might actually make something of themselves and don't SUCK completely to oblivion. I feel the age gap widening, and am suddenly realising that being 26 is really 10 years beyond alot of the intended audience. Maybe that explains why they keep selecting 16 and 17 year old pretty boys with asymmetrical haircuts this year. Admittedly, yes, Matt has an astonishingly amazing voice for someone his age. The girls on the other hand, wow, BZZT, out. Leave. Just go. Wow, you're so bad, i think it gave me cancer. I can't even relate to these people... I relate to the mid-20s guy who's been in pub bands for years and can work a crowd, looks natural on stage, and that I believe the words he sings because he knows what they mean on Disco Night - heck, chances are he might've even been alive during the days of Disco.
Judge Marcia is a strain on my patience. The end.
Nice to see Dicko back. That man is a walking wikipedia for all things music.

I hope to snatch the first episode of Survivor: China today. Hopefully. ZOMG I GET SO EXCITED ABOUT SURVIVOR I HAVE TO USE CAPSLOCK!!!! I'm serious... i can't wait.. it's not a tropical location, I'm busting to find out what it's going to be like! :D
