When I grow up, I wanna be a...?
So I spent all day at the First Home Buyers Expo. Feeling very grown up but completely uneducated... I'm getting my head around it all now... I learned alot today. Feel a bit more prepared to take the step next year. I am going to get a loan approval sooner rather than later as most are valid for, like, 12 months (or until the next interest rate boo)... and then, I guess, go house hunting! Scary!
I will do it half-heartedly for the rest of this year, just spending time watching Auctions and monitoring house sales in my preferred areas of the city, at least because now I know how much I can borrow/can afford (*cough* can't afford)
I phoned Mum & Dad earlier today while at the expo to get some advice from Dad, but he wasn't home. Mum had a quick chat with me instead and while I was saying I was doing all the seminars here she quips "Maybe you'll meet someone..." Huh? I asked her what she meant, and she giggled, replying "Y'know.. tall, dark and handsome?" ... GOSH COME ON! One problem at a time!! I'm thinking about borrowing hundreds of thousands of dollars and figuring out how to finance the biggest purchase of my life, and I get "the boyfriend" pressure again... Heyyy one Life Committment at a time, mother! I'm working on it!!
Anyway, my brain literally hurts from spending all day there. I just got home, starving, and trying to expunge all my newly aquired knowledge and advice from my brain and handy dandy showbag.
Thankgod I"m going out for a beverage tonight with aussiebuffy because I really need one!
Oh, and I forgot to mention, I have a non-date business meeting with Aussie Home Loans guy on Monday morning at Smokin' Joes to discuss homeloans and maybe get approval for a loan... did I mention he's kinda cute? Yeah, thanks Mum. haha... (And Ryan is a really cute name!)
