My roommate, Jaime (as 2 faced as she is) just called me, in tears. (As a sidenote, could she not have walked the 20 feet to MY cubicle? Whatever) The beer league slowpitch team she is on sent her an email basically kicking her off the team. No reason behind it (so she says.) other than the fact that she's supposedly "Offending other teams/team members with her language and actions"
Ok. So. Here's my beef.
It's a beer league. Before the first ball is tossed, 90% of the people playing are half drunk. Jaime will have 1 beer before the game, and usually over the course of the 2 games, she'll have one or two beer. So, safe to say, she's the one who's sober. She has never disrespected one of the people on her team, and she's razzed the other teams, but it's a GAME, not to be confused with Major league play. People play beer league slowpitch to have FUN. This team takes shit way too seriously. The main person behind this email, lets call her Rita, is an uptight cow who takes the league wayyyyyy to seriously. It's pathetic. I've never seen an adult woman act like this before.
Jaime asked my advice as to what to do, so I am posing the question to you guys. Should she just sit back and take this? Or should she do something about it?
