Hello Darkness My Old Friend
I left work on time today and it was dusky! And pitch black when I got home twenty minutes later, but it's only going to get better from here.
So in the midst of the ever duskening, I passed by a girl on a horse. And she had a helmet on that had this light on the side and it lit up her face like she was wearing one of them old skool BSG colonial viper helmets. It was cool! And then, as I passed, I saw in my review mirror that the horse had a blinky red light attached to it. So adorable!
I know they make all sorts of stuff for riding a bike at night, but I am wondering since this is the first time I've ever seen it in all my years of driving past the horse farms, does the horsey world have that too? Or is this all a jury rigged system?

And speaking of riding a bike, I'd like to retract my previous statement that Bicycling is the stupidest magazine ever. Shortly after I said that, they switched out the head editor and a columnist, and the new editor rocks. It has lots more stuff that I'm interested in, and most importantly, it makes me wanna go biking. (And sometimes it just makes smile at the thought of Matt Damon and his brother riding a tandem in an event in South Africa where the wind blew a porta-potty past them.)
