THANK GOD FOR DVR
Where to begin.
First of all, I heard the "obsessed with immortality" and I go "HE'S SEARCHING FOR THE SORCERER'S STONE?!?" so apparently I have re-familiarized with my Harry Potter obsession. (This may be due in part to recent watching of "The Daemons" where they refer to You-Know-Who and The Master holds an underground cult meeting requesting that all who attend with unquestioningly obey him. Also, I had an HP dream last night. Moving on...)
So I thought the whole idea of the stitched together doctor was pretty interesting and the special effects on his face were pretty good (BUT DID THEY HAVE TO SHOW THE SURGERY. EEWWWWWWW. NOT FUNNY, SUPERNATURAL) and of course seeing Padfoot tied down again. I read a theory that this was foreshadowing, and I hope it is because otherwise there is NO REASON he should ever be in that much danger unless he starts acting like a pompous brat and calls himself Lois Lane.
Let's not get into Smallville. (Especially since I haven't seen an episode in a year.)
I feel like Bela got a really good send-off, and if the writers had shut their mouths for a bit at the beginning, and not let on that she wasn't originally part of the myth-arc, then fandom wouldn't have had such and uproar over the character, and she could have had a really nice arc. I mean, I think just the idea of someone else that Dean knows is going through the same fears and worries (albeit for a completely horrible reason. I really don't think Bela at thirteen or fourteen or whatever age she is would be capable of that) could've drawn up some interesting parallels. See, if they're given time, the writers can come up with amazing stuff for characters they might not even know what to do with in the beginning. Patience, people! I actually liked Bela until she set Sam and Dean up to be arrested, but that was so NOT FUNNY WHEN THEY'RE OUTLAWS.
There really hasn't been much squee in this post, has there? IDK, maybe I'm not in a squeeing mood? I like the episode and all, and there were ~*emotional*~ bits where I felt for the boys (did you see them both near tears at just the thought of leaving each other?!?) but I really just want to know what happens about the deal. (SIDE NOTE: COMMERCIAL, IHU. WTF?)
Should we start a pool to guess how long after he dies Dean will come back?
