I got a letter from my bank yesterday (Synergy is the banks name if you would like to avoid them like the plague). I use this bank just to pay for my Ebay auctions so there is never alot of money in the account. Seems I paid for more then I had and they had to say "no" to 2 item's, $32.00 each. One of them was a $4.06 item. So, rather then taking the $4.00 that I didn't have from my account, they took $32.00 out of my account for that one. That's alot of money just to say no. I have 2 kid's, I say no all the time. Now I know I should pay closer attention to my account and know what is there before I pay for something but you have to see the stupidity on the bank's part. They would rather be out $28 more then if they just paid for the item. This tells me they just don't want me as a customer. I own a store. If I can help one of my customers out I do it. Why? Because I want them to keep coming back. My bank told me they don't want me back with that move. I havent gone in to tell them that I will be leaving if they don't put my $64.00 back into my account yet. If they do I will probably keep my account open as it's easier then opening a new one but if they don't I will be making out a withdrawal slip right on the managers desk. These are the kind of things our politicians should be looking into for us. If there is a limit on how much drug company's can charge for there product shuldn't there be a limit on how much a bank can charge? Like $3.00 max and never more the item being returned. That is just silly.
