I'm glad it went better than expected, though I probably would have been annoyed that they were trying to have a serious conversation about my schooling in such a awkward and painful moment. I've never had a LEEP, but I had one colposcopy and that's certainly not an experience I'd like to repeat.

Well, I figure, in the end, it's better than sitting their silently focusing solely on what they're doing to me. :) It's their problem if they expect smart, coherent answers from me while they're doing it!
