BPAL and Possets in need of loving homes

Jan 30, 2013 20:17

It's time to give these bottles the love they deserve! I ship from West Virginia. I use plenty of bubble wrap, tape around caps with electrical tape, and mail in bubble mailers. Shipping is $3.50 to the US with delivery confirmation. (I am happy to ship elsewhere, just let me know where in the world you are ( Read more... )

Uh-oh, it hasn't arrived yet? I put it in the mail 2 days after you paid (and I felt guilty for it taking me 2 days), so everything on my end is/was good.

Thanks for catching that it was still there! (I actually looked, and apparently was half asleep when I did, because I missed it.)

Keep me posted. I'll hope that the PO is just being really slow. But it should be in transit! Sorry for making you nervous. :)

(Missed it because I was looking at the wrong god. Bastet, not Hathor. Duh.)

I'd love TGL Limeys and Silver Roses if they're still available! I'm just wavering trying to figure out if there's anything else I can't live without. Do you happen to have a description for Clockwork Cupid? I couldn't find one anywhere.

They are definitely still available. :)

And here's the description for Clockwork Cupid:

Oooo spice, ooooo frosting, ooooo skin...clean skin. My word. Clockwork Cupid has your number and has you in the chute to make you swoon. More fun than a clockwork nightengale. Again, what can you say which is more on the mark than "simply beautiful"? There are a lot of levels to Clockwork Cupid: an element of adult sophistication, a side of juvenile hi jinx, a bit of tell tale frosting stuck on the corner of your mouth. Very pretty, almost unisex (but more feminine), appropriate for all occasions, sweet but deep and not cloying.

Are you still interested in these?

Yes! Sorry for not getting back to you sooner...got a bit busy for a few days plus I've been agonizing over whether or not I should add Ross to the order. I love the scent and it's got great lasting power, but it doesn't grab me as much as a lot of the other possets. Now I'm wondering if it would be a good layering note.

I think I'll skip Clockwork Cupid, though it sounds yummy but spices always amp like crazy on my skin.

I promise I'll post by the end of the day to let you know if I want Ross along with the others!

No worries! :)

(I had a similar problem with Clockwork Cupid!)

Ok, we're both west coast, so technically I'm checking in before the end of the day hehe. I think I do want to add Ross to the order! Though do you want a last chance to try it out first hehe? I read the reviews and a lot of people are saying it's just terrible in the bottle but great once on. I get vanilla, coconut and maybe cucumber or lime in a fresh marshmallowy sot of way. My husband sniffed and said "Smells Eastery". In fact if you'd like to cleanly test out of TGL Limeys before you send it I'm fine with that too! I wouldn't really even care if it was "cleanly tested" except that TGL Limeys I'm ordering unsniffed so it'll be good to know it's only cleanly tested if I need to swap or resell it. Thanks so much for your help and patience!

Aw, thanks hun! :) Actually, I have a decant of Ross (which is why I thought I liked and would wear it in the first place - and I do like it, I just realized I've had it for awhile and never wear him) and I am being really, really brutal with my collection these days. Moving across country in 3 months and *trying* to get the perfume bottles down to a single box (a girl can dream) before then.

So that means Ross, TGL Limeys, and Silver Roses right? :) Looks like $16. My paypal address is angelfish323 AT hotmail DOT com

Ack, I can't imagine having to thin out my perfume oils like that! Isn't there something less essential you could leave behind instead to make room...like food or something? :-P

How long have you been collecting? I've been at it about a year or so I think and so far all my keepers are still fitting in one box, but I think they're about to outgrow it fairly soon. And there's still a million others I'm dying to try! Hm...I should go make a list of everything I've tried and everything I still want to try...

Well, I'm not thinking *small* box. If I could get down to 100 bottles (*sheepish*) that would make me happy. :p I discovered BPAL a little over 4 years ago. (Bliss was my first bottle.) From there, Possets, Nocturne Alchemy, and the others. I no longer check out other perfume companies unless they come highly, highly recommended. Bank account can't handle it!

Actually, if you have some specific Possets you're interested in trying, there's always a chance I have decants I'd be happy to send along. (I'll send some along anyways, but it's always better if they're things you were wishing for in the first place!)

Even just 100 bottles is not much! I just counted and I'm up to 21 not including the ones I'm intending to swap/sell when I get around to it. I guess maybe I'm lucky that Possets seems to be the only brand/etailer I've totally fallen for. BPAL has yet to work for me (everything goes dry or dusty on me or just icky) and they're the most expensive so I guess I'm glad of that lol.

I thought I actually replied while I was on the phone earlier with my MIL about being a bad multitasker and trying to get off the phone to make a list of everything I've tried and want to try hehe but I guess it got lost.

I'm still pretty new to LJ but I think if you check out my journal I have a post where I did write out pretty much all the Possets I've tried and want to try (aside from the newer and limited edition ones I can't keep up with).

Thanks again and good luck with your move and with culling your collection!
