Happy Christmas

I made it through the last week of work. Ethan LOVED his T-Rex. LOVED IT. I forgot how awesome the reactions of children can be.

I left the baby blanket as a baby blanket, since I really did not get time to quilt the thing. But it's still a beautiful blanket. Far from perfect, but I think Ruby will still like it.

Baking went really well, I have lots of cookies and squares to share with loved ones over the next three days.

I spent all of today preparing to go to three houses for celebrations tomorrow. For some reason I find Scott's family very demanding at Christmas. Last year I got told by his grandma that we HAVE to spend the 25th with them this year as we hadn't for 2 years (clearly if we could share the 25th with everyone life would be grand, but we chose to see people we NEVER see on that day...), and then because we're going there Scott's mom wants us to meet there first to do our smaller family celebration... so we have to go to his mom's place, then his extended family stuff at his uncles... Then just cuz we're in town we're going to drop in on Ruby's first Christmas before heading back home. I just don't see the point! When we have kids we're not doing it like this, it's ridiculous. It's bad enough we're taking the dog...

Oh well. I'm not actually cranky or depressed at this point, and I'm sure it's going to be a *great* day.
:)
