You know what would be cool?
A new Young Justice series written by Gail Simone. Peter David is Marvel exclusive right now, but I think it'd be kinda neat if Gail Simone wrote it. Yeah yeah, I think Ms. Simone should write everything, but I think she'd be really good with a Young Justice series. She's got an awesome sense of humor, and she's good at writing both teens and team books, Gen13 and Birds of Prey for example.

With the core members, we get Bart and Kon back and alive. Bart will be de-aged back to his teens, but might still go by Kid Flash as a sign of maturity. Jaime, Traci, and Charlie are there 'casue I like them and I think they'd work pretty well in a team setting. Oh, and Robin said Jaime wasn't Teen Titans material; he's right, Jaime's JUSTICE LEAGUE material, but YJ will do for now. Mia's there because every team needs a (usually blond/e) archer and Arrowette might still be retired, though I'd use Cissie if she was at least part-timing it. Misfit is with the Birds of Prey mostly, so I might have to bump her to the reserves. (Might replace her with Lagoon Boy, teams also need a semi-useless aquatic member.)
Empress, Arrowette, and Lagoon Boy are old members of YJ. Anita might be redundant with Traci there, magic member-wise, but Anita's also got the awesome melee combat abilities, instant teleportation, and possibly a piece of the Anti-Life Equation. Cass would do so much better on a regular teen supergroup then in Batman's covert black ops badass Outsiders. Rose and Eddie have had their asses kicked by the Titans' enemies recently, and YJ would appreciate them more. Lagoon Boy and Vulcan aren't really doing anything at the moment (aside from being in matching comas). Supergirl got kicked out of the Titans, which makes her an automatic candidate for YJ. Plus, with the recent reveal of Lori's relationship with Charlie, it'd be kinda neat to have them teamed together.
I really do want YJ to have an adult member, doing the shepherding and mentoring like Red Tornado used to do. Reddy is the obvious candidate to renew his old position. I like Ice, and I think she's be good at mentoring, and like Reddy with the original YJ it'd give her a chance to "get back on her game," as it were. I'd like to get Guy Gardner, as he used to be a teacher prior to his Lantern-related brain damaging and has shown himself to be a good mentor with Jaime. Unfortunately, he's a GL and thusly would be away from Earth frequently, so he might just visit Ice and Jaime once in a while.
(For a lot of the characters I picked, "they'd do well in a team book/around teens" is my lame go-to explanation. Mostly it's 'cause I like them and want them in a book, so they won't be used for cannon fodder, as we've already seen with Lagoon Boy and Vulcan.)
I haven't forgotten about my "Quest for the Golden Lube" series, I'll try to post the first part this weekend. And by "weekend," I mean it's a three-day weekend so it'll by up by Monday night at the very latest. Yeah, I suck, but it's my first fic! If I don't post it, feel free to smack me. (Anyone care to beta for me?)
