The New Frontier's Challengers of the Unknown
As I promised in my last post, here's Darwyn Cooke's take on the origin of the Challengers of the Unknown, featured in DC: The New Frontier (Part 3).
The following two pages were originally a two-page spread, but Photobucket would have shrunk it too much, so I split it up.
Take a look at that. The plane just shredded. Surely no one could survive that!
Red Ryan: Cooler than cool. Eat your heart out, James Dean!
And thus, they decided to wear goofy purple costumes with an hourglass motif, and Challenge the Unknown!
Also, a request: Some time ago I heard that around Robin #140, before the Veteran arc and OYL, Tim's girlfriend Darla had been killed and resurrected as Warlock's Daughter. When she went looking for Tim to get his help against Robin (blaming him for her death, and not knowing Tim and Robin are the same person), Tim got Superboy to pretend to be Robin. Can anyone post scans of that? Because nothing is kinkier than getting your boyfriend to dress up in your costume.
And does anyone else ever have a problem with Livejournal (as a whole, and to a lesser extent just the icons and picture galleries) randomly not working, or is that just me and my dorm's crappy Internet connection?
