. I'm curious to see if he actually gets attached to the kid in a way that halfway believable or sympathetic. It's one thing if Sylar kills him - that's practically the default outcome, really - but if it's someone else who breaks Sylar's toy... There's at least some pissed-off serial killer whup-ass to look forward to.

SAME! That is exactly what I'm hoping for, that Sylar gets attached to the kid and then someone kills him and he FREAKS OUT. It would be awesome.

If Daphne is actually dead, I'll smack Kring. Hard.

YES. I mean, if Luke's chances of survival are practically zero to begin with, his inevitable death might as well contribute to something AWESOME, like watching Sylar go absolutely batshit on whoever's responsible. It wouldn't be the nuclear freak-out that future!Gabriel had when Noah Jr. was killed, but still. Fucking with someone Sylar likes (or at least, feels possessive about) is NOT a place you want to be.

DAPHNE CAN NOT BE DEAD. D: SHE JUST CAN'T. FOR SERIOUS, KRING.

I've always kind of wanted to see Sylar take a protege - not a Maya-type protege, who he was attempting to turn dark by manipulation and force, but a young somebody who's already kind of twisted and evil, and this desire includes his pupil dying and inciting epic rage. And this has the potential to be TRULY AWESOME like that, which is why Luke will probably die next Monday.

If he survives next week's episode, I'll be AMAZED. Pleasantly so, but still. A few episodes of plot-relevant bonding followed by EPIC RAGE would be awesome. Which is exactly why it's probably not going to happen, and poor Luke probably won't live long enough to matter to anyone, least of all Sylar. :/

$10 says Douchebag Hunter Guy caps the kid next time they try to take Sylar down.

They did give him his own chyron. The chyron may offer a little protection. HAH! I bet Luke is Sylar's secret brother. He is, after all, Luke. And daddy is Vader. And Sylar is Leia. And... Mohinder is Han.

And the late Daddy Petrelli is Emperor Palpatine. TRUFAX.

They did give him his own chyron.

I noticed that! I don't want to let it get my hopes up too much, but still. Maybe it'll protect him long enough to let him die a better, more interesting death a bit later down the line. If you're not a season 1 alumni, that seems to be the best you can hope for.

I was like, "Oh hello, guest stars! Wait... guest stars that get their own chyron? What is this fuckery?" And here I thought I was oh-so-very spoiled. Guess not. Anyhoo, I am also hoping that it protects him long enough that the storyline plays out to my specifications that cool things can happen.
