The secret hours

There are secret hours in the day every parent knows about.
They're those early hours of the morning when no one else is up,  and even though you love them more than you can say, sometimes you just need a second to yourself for the love of God.

My secret hours started at 3:30 this morning.  Well- 4:30, officially.  For the first hour I just lay there dreaming sweet in between dreams of far away places and incredible men. I call that the manifestation state; where I sort of float in between conscious and unconscious and get to work creating all the future awesomeness that's about to go down.  Mark my words, this... shit... works. So far,  with its magical charms,  I've manifested a house that I love,  a kick ass car right down to the last detail,  and a tiny human that is the ultimate joy of my life.

4:30 brought a surrender to my limbs yelling at me to get up and, move already! So a-yoga-ing we went.  For a full hour.  Followed by 20 minutes of mind blowing, universal, life expanding, godhead, all up in my peienial G-spot meditation.  I am woke AF today!... until like 2:30 this afternoon when I may or may not take a nap in the lodge at work.

Make no mistake, yes... tired, I may be this afternoon.  Coffee and prayers may be all there is in my wheel house today. All that being said,  I wouldn't trade these precious hours for sleep.

I also,  get to be the Mom I want to be,  because I'm grounded,  I'm chilled out...shiet, I'm even fed and coffeed before the child has barely even stirred from "passed out octopus" position.  Now I know how those fairy tale moms were all "Gooood morning Child!". They were up at four goddam thirty.

wakeup, parenting, awesome, yoga, mornings
