Okay, thoughts! First off, all these pictures are in costume, but out of character. Even the first picture falls under this area, since it includes their choreographer, who's still not a character in the show.
I've known that Kurt was going to join the cheerleading squad for a few days now -- it's just now that I've gotten pics that are good enough to post. XD; UHM, as people might remember from the first batch of episodes, Kurt tries out for the cheer squad when Sue is forced to have try-outs open to anyone (Cheerios are otherwise invitation-only). Both he and Mercedes try out, and Sue turns them both down.
It's played up for laughs and I wasn't sure if that would ever be dealt with again. I'm pleased to see it bought back. Still, I don't know how long it'll last, because Glee has people join other activities for an episode, two at the most.
I've got the feeling, from interviews and the like, that Kurt's character arc throughout the seasons will deal with his starting out in the basement social-wise, to becoming one of the top dogs at school. So a stint in the cheerios would certainly fit in that arc. I hope he does well, and that both he and Mercedes get development. I'm going to start pimping for a Mercedes suuuuper soon.
FOR THE RECORD: I have picked up all threads in my intro post (save for a couple I couldn't figure out how to continue). Sorry that it took me so long, guys! And let me know if you still want me to pick up a thread anyway.
