Wine
Wow, talk about shitty.
When we were in Australia, Al and I purchased 3 bottles of wine (he bought 2, I bought 1). We went to the Australian Post because we didn't have secure foam packaging to put the wine in our suitcases. For the wine, we had a single bottle shipper and a double bottle shipper. Al put both of his in the double shipper and mine in the single.
Mine arrived just fine.
Al's is "in customs". So, he emailed the Australian Post to ask them about it, and they said "Sorry, contact the US post". Actually, I think he inquired through usps.com about it, and they told him the Aussie Post, so he emailed Aussie, and they told him US. Anyway.
Al just got back from the US Post Office and they said "Oh, you can't ship wine into the United States." He said "Wait, we already got 1 bottle.. Why can't I get mine??" Post office said "Well, you got lucky on the 1 bottle then... but, you can't ship wine into the country. Sorry!"
HOW crappy! Al's emailing the Aussie Post to see if he can get his money back because they definitely did NOT tell us we couldn't ship it home! We told them America, put USA all over everything, so it wasn't like they didn't know.
