My computer is, that is.
Yesterday, at 2:33PM ish, my computer decided to get a really bad spyware. Funny, because I wasn't even ON my computer at the time. Anyway. The spyware is (or one of the files, anyway) dxclib303562752.dll. Nothing will seem to get rid of this guy. We've tried Adaware in Safe Mode, Spyware Doctor (Al loves that program) in Safe Mode, restarting in normal mode and trying both programs... Nothing.
Now, we we restart in normal mode, a thing called "Bantool" pops up, but doesn't fully load. When we try to do anything, my laptop runs slower than ever, and usually gives a blue screen that says there's a program installation problem, and then restarts. Before it does that, "Windows" will pop up and say there's a spyware infection. I know it's the spyware itself, but I'm half tempted to click on it and buy their program to get rid of their spyware.
My biggest question is this. I've emailed Phil, but I don't know if he'll be able to respond today. Can you share files and folders while in Safe Mode? Basically, I just want to save my pictures, music, and a few programs and then reformat (if that will help get rid of it). Al said he got my laptop to NOT show any problems in safe mode, but when he starts it in normal mode, it doesn't even finish loading before it gets that blue screen/program error and restarts. Remember that external hard-drive I talked about? Yeah, I wish I would've bought one a few weeks ago. Silly me!
But yeah, main question if you skipped all of that:
Can you share files/folders over the network while in Safe Mode, without where your saving them to getting infected? (Al has a lot of extra storage on his computer, so I may just save to his first)
If ANYONE has any ideas, pleeeeeeeeeeeeease let me know.
Oh, and I woke up today with a big water blister on my lip. GREAT!
